Pee-wee Herman is already assured of a place in camp comedy Valhalla for having gone full circle from twerpy icon, to a fall-from-grace arrest for masturbating in an adult movie theatre, and now coming back into campy popularity yet again, with a new Pee-wee's Playhouse movie coming in 2009.

First off I didn't watch either show, but I remeber quotes Urkle made and nothing from Screech, so Urkle's nerdiness has stood the test of time for me.
Second, in comparison I just like that actor better. When Jaleel White (?) took off the suspenders and glasses he was an attractive and articulate man. When Dustin Diamond was out of character, he still seemed like screech. And wasn't he on the cover of some magazine a few years ago begging people for money so he could keep his mansion? How they act now does reflect (at least for me) on how they will be remebered.
