Has Heroes season 3 (I think) started yet? If not, when???!

Question: I'm assuming you are talking about Volume 3: "Villains" which was supposed to air this season? The writers' strike caused problems with that.

Heroes may not be returning until the fall. (In which case, volume three would then become season three.) Unlike other shows, which just randomly stopped production after whatever episode they happened to have completed, Heroes created a full segment of episodes that culminated in a season finale. If the strike ends this week, a lot of returning shows will go into production to make 4-5 more episodes to tie up loose ends and end their seasons properly. 4-5 more episodes would make no sense for Heroes, as they already tied up loose ends and that would not be enough time to do the next segment of episodes justice.

Of course, it is possible that there could be a couple of episodes in May with the rest of the returning shows, so I suppose you shouldn't give up hope! (The earliest any show would return due to production times would be the end of April.)

And whenever volume 3: "Villains" airs, here are some tidbits about it, courtesy of Tim Kring...

Originally, the second season of Heroes was to be followed in April and May of 2008 by six stand-alone episodes of a new series, Heroes: Origins.[11] The spin-off was intended as an alternative to a long mid-season hiatus, which led to a drop in ratings for Heroes in its first season.[12] The project has been indefinitely postponed due to a decline in viewership and the writers strike.[13]

It won't start until fall 2008, assuming the strike is over at that point. If the strike ends this week there is a tiny chance there will be a few more episodes for season 2, but it's not very likely.
