Question: in the opening credits of friends, ross does a little rubbish dance. In the later series they make his dance go backwards.

The dances get changed up twice a season, along with clips from the show. The dances each person does get rotated through the seasons, so a dance someone did might come back in a later season.
I don't remember his dance going backwards, but I do remember they cut 3 or 4 seconds off of it from Season 1 and occasionally show it in later seasons. They also showed him sometimes loosening his tie or peeking up from the rim of the fountain.
I'm a huge fan of the show, as well, but I don't have an answer for this question...
