Answers: five ways oprah winfrey's legacy was contributional&beneficial to society

Don't you mean her work, she is not a legacy yet - she is alive and kicking and by no means stopping anytime soon.
1. She overcame real hardship and adversity to get where she is and she's one of the most influential figures in the world.
2. she helps people a ton - saves a ton of lives - i can give you actual accounts if you need
3. academy award for the color purple - wow, many different facets of Oprah
4. she is the head of many non-profits and charities - can name too if you would like
5. she is the epitome of the black woman who grew up to overcome sexual abuse and poverty, which makes her an example to everyone

Oprah Winfrey???? She;s a talk show host for heavens sake... I don't think she has made any fantastic contribution that million of others haven't..... and remember she is paid very well for all of it.

The show brought the social issues that touch the root of the society.

1. Performance in The Color Purple
2. Woman beating Phil Donahue as best day time talk show host (that was forever ago, but at the time unthinkable)
3. A role model for black girls. (unless she gets caught in an insider trading scheme)
4. Her book club turned unknown authors into millionaires, and milliionaires into multimillionaires.
5. Benefactor of the arts.

She is currently a Philanthropist, and has educated many women through some of her more interesting shows.
