I'M FROM CHICAGO AND I STOPPED WATCHING HER BECAUSE HER SHOW FOR ME IS NOT ABOUT HELPING PEOPLE BUT WHAT SHE CAN GIVE TO PEOPLE THAT NEED REAL HELP. SHE GIVES THINGS THAT THEY REALLY DON'T NEED INSTEAD OF WHAT THEY NEED.
Everything runs it's course. It's good business to give away things but it is not her wealth. Sponsors are footing the bill. She may get tired of doing the show. Seems like she is leaning towards politics! :)

She is increasing in popularity - she just got her own tv network, "the oprah network."
Oprah is a selfish individual that give stuff away to promote herself. She loves the attention of being a "philanthropist". I think people see through her sherade.
On the contrary. Oprah's ratings are still the highest. She's just more diversified than she used to be. I love her shows - most of them anyway.
