Which actor would you choose as Jane Austen's Darcy?!

Ooh what a good question! Colin Firth WAS excellent... but I have a few ideas.
Ewan McGregor is an amazing actor... don't know if many people fancy him though.
Johnny Depp. You can't fault him on any level! He's a fanastic actor, he's gorgeous and he's probably read Pride and Prejudice (he's read Wuthering Heights 6 times so that suggests he likes good old English romances). He could totally take on the character and pull it off.
Or Hugh Jackman. He is absolutely droolworthy. He has the right look about him for Darcy I think.
Or Jude Law. Again, same reason.
Jake Gyllenhaal's too yong-looking. But I love him so much! Don't know if he'd be right for Darcy though..
Anyway! There's my long-winded answer.
Oh it's Colin Firth every time and if you saw the answers to some of my other questions then I always say Colin Firth!!!

got to agree that role was made for Colin Firth and i cant imagine anyone else in it.
i always wonder if in Bridget Jones Diary he was supposed to be an ancestor of the Mr Darcy as an in joke type of thing
has to be Colin Firth can never see anyone else in role although if and only IF he stopped the stupid english dum act Hugh Grant could pull it off I do not like him but he can do posh not so sure about romantic though ha ha
Colin firth is my number one Darcy. i would also like to see how James Tupper (jack slattery men in trees) would play it. he is so dreamy i can just get lost staring at his face and hes so handsome
