GH fan, Maurice Bernard's contract is coming up, think he will leave?!
Question: The writers would have to take the show in a total new direction and have to find a character who could hold the show together. Sonny has come to about the end of any storyline he could have, hasn't he? IF Morgan dies, it could mentally cripple him and that would be the reason to leave or totally change his life? Sonny is the center of the show. and he isn't a character that can be replaced. Sonny Corentho's persona is based on Maurice Bernard as a person. with the whole Bi Polar stuff. they can put someone else on the show but fans won't be happy about it. but spoilers have said Jason and Sonny leave the Mob to get Legit. I agree with what you say but I do not think that it is going to happen.
Nope, I don't think he'll leave. They'll always be able to find a new storyline for his character - he's become the core of the show.
he's the star right now. most of the show is focused around him and jason. y would he leave now at his peak? i dont think that they have done all that they can do with sonny. the writers jus need to be creative.
Agree. If Morgan would die Sonny would blame himself, it would ruin him. I will be so disappointed if Maurice leaves GH. He holds the show together, the other characters kinda revolve around him. GH would never be the same.
Geez, who knows? If MB left GH, maybe, just maybe it might become the old GH that it used to be. The GH that had love in the afternoon, not who's sending out a dumb hit-man to kill someone today.
Sure, Sonny's character carries alot of the S/L, but they got Johnny's character to take over the "mob crap" if MB decided to end his career on GH. It would work. I can't say I would really miss him alot.
Maybe, just maybe....they would be able to make room for say....Tristan Rogers to return....or maybe characters like Mack or Mike or the Quartermaines would get more air-time like they deserve. Hmmmmmm

that could happen but i think sonnys the core of the whole show when it comes down to it sonnys the main character the spencers and the quatermains just kind of revolve around sonny =)
I read somewhere that he is bored with playing Sonny and he may leave. I hate to say it but it is time to give that character a rest. If he doesn't leave maybe not have him on every day because sometimes I think there is too much Sonny on GH.
I think that Morgan will be accidentally shot by Micheal too. That would beso sad for Carly.

No he said he would leave the show when he got bored and he said heis not bored. He is enjoying his story with Kate and with Sarah back there is a lot of interesting stuff to tell.

I hope so, I think he is boring. But that would just mean that Jason would take over the mob and he is even more boring....I dont see Maurice quitting voluntarily though, its not like he would have any better gig in show biz.
No, Maurice won't leave. He has a wife and family to support, and the last time he left, no one hired him. He's in for the duration.
