Lost Season 4. ( Jacks father )?!
Question: I thought Jacks father was dead. But after he got off the island there were 2 references to his dad. Once when he tried to get his medication at the drug store, and also when he was drunk and he argued with the surgeon in the hospital. Is it possible that the Island brought him back to life ?

the evidence all points to christain being dead but i have a feeling he isnt. i've had this feeling since season one episode white rabbit. love this show.
Jack's father is dead. He died in Sydney, Australia of an overdose or alcohol poisoning or something. That's why Jack was on the plane. He was bringing his father back to the US in a coffin. While on the island, Jack finds the coffin as it must have flown out the plane when they crashed. But it's empty. He then sees his father, but it's the island playing tricks on him in that mysterious way that the island does that. His father was not brought back to life. He was just seeing things, which ultimately helped him come to terms with his father's death.
