you know i cant just pick one,, i have been watching general hospital for 40 years at least and i remember story lines from way way back ,so i cant just look at the new ones now ,, this show has had some great story lines over the years...
Sonny & Sam... not as a couple, just individually... for the record, I don't mean the nasty Sam the writers have been trying their best to make us hate for the last 6 months, but the Sam as she was originally written who was in love with Jason, strong, caring,etc... it's like the writers are rewritting history & personalities so the can put Jason w/ Elizabeth.... sorry to go off, it's just they've completely changed who Sam is, but I still LOVE LOVE LOVE her anyways!
Diane is my favorite female right now, and I'm really liking the friendship that is developing between her and Alexis. However, these days, there aren't really any males on the show that I care about. Isn't that just so sad?! This whole TMK storyline has sucked the enjoyment out of GH for me.

Carly, when she's NOT nosing into anyone else's "life".
Sonny, when his generosity is showing.
Jason, he should be a "cop", but that would be too ironic.
Spinelli, he's got a loving heart, and he can be funny AND educational, too.
So sad, Georgie is gone. It would have been nice if she and Spinelli went to Europe together & shared some great adventures, to break up the usual "soap" schtick.
Kate/Connie, she's interesting in that she helps us ALL in figuring out who WE want to be. Some "nobody" from the neighborhood, or somebody "more" who over-came their "roots". Rising above one's "station" is a worthy "dream" to persue.

my favorite male characters are sonny and spinelli and jason and johnny.
Maxie & Johnny but not together as a couple i just like their acting and spinelli hes funny...

I love Carly. Even when she is acting crazy, she is someone I could hang out with. She isn't always the victim because she refuses to be.
Also, I think I may like Claudia Zacchara. I need some time to judge. I love Sarah Brown. (original Carly)

I really need a break right now from the whole Liz/Jason/Sam/Lucky thing.
Carly is my favorite female character. She's strong and independent and doesn't take crap from anyone. I know she can be stubborn and very nosy but everybody has their flaws. I think Claudia will soon become another of my favorites.
My favorite male characters are Johnny and Jerry. They're both dark and mysterious. Not to mention they're both nice to look at.
