I think they're leaning toward some kind of "Total Recall" kind of thing...
Where...at the end...they're all just vacationers in virtual reality tubes who agreed to the whole thing...either as a normal part of a future entertainment, or as voluntary experimental subjects who are living this whole story...and at the end...they all wake up from the "vacation" and remember everything, and say...
That was amazing! (And the whole thing only lasted a few hours in "real" time...)
Or...The Island is the "Original Garden of Eden" from which Adam and Eve sprung...the living cradle spot where the mind of Planet Earth resides, where her "essence" reaches the surface, and some evil governments or something figured that out, and now they're all "trapped" in Gaia's spider web of illusions and dreams, like She's holding them the way a Venus Flytrap Flower holds flies...slowly digesting them by keeping them dreaming...kind of like the movie Solaris with George Clooney...
Dammit, I want to know...Aaaggghh! (It's driving me crazy...because the way the series is going...they're fooling us into thinking the answer is known to us...but it can't be...because the series would have to end right there if we believe the current events of the story...)
Whatever it is...it better be damn good...or you and I will be forced to hole up in your room for months making sweet passionate love together...okay then...I guess I hope it's NOT damn good...all righty then...lol...
LOST is my favorite show -- let me say first, no matter what the series finale viewers will be disappointed. The show has unfortunately dug itself into this hole that no matter what ending they give us - people will shout from the rooftops that it "sucked." I've come to terms with whatever ending they provide because I think the show is just that good. Anyway, I think showing the viewers what's going on, on the island will slowly be phased out by the end of this season or the beginning of next. There will be some sort of rescue (Oceanic 6?) and key characters "left behind" on the island. I think the show will pick up with the "flashforwards" we've been seeing by the beginning of next season.
the whole season wont be flash forwards. we still need to see flashbacks on the others, and the freighters, and even rosseau.
Lost gets more interesting each season. I loved it and can't wait until next Thursday. I think there will be more flashforwards.
its one of the best shows ever and i agree about how ppl will say it suck only b/c they didnt like the end...but the only thing they should be mad about is how long it takes to explain things....i mean it took 3 season to find out who the real SAWYER was...but thats also why ppl keep on watching b/c they want to know whats going on....
i really liked it, LOST is the king of suspense. It may not have the best plot but it keeps you coming back and wishing that the episodes would go on longer, great show, definitely best drama
I think there will be more future flashes, and one thing I just noticed is that we had two perspectives last night in the future...We've seen Jack/Kate futureflash, and we've seen Hurley Futureflash...Jack and Kate went off together, and Hurley (apologetically) went off with Locke... so there's no garuntee about a rescue from the "present" situation on the island.
Lost is such a cool show (understatement). It provokes so much debate and theory, it's a wonder Lindeloff and Cuse can keep it all straight. I really think that there will be questions left unanswered, stuff they won't have the time to address. I really still don't get the shark and the polar bear. I have no clue about what the freaking big four toed foot is about, or why there's a fake hatch... What the heck is up with Mrs Klugh speakin' russian to patchy so he'd shoot her...and does anybody really ever die on this flippin' island :)
