Lost fans, any opinions on who was in the casket?!
Question: I am very intrigued by this because Jack was so distraught over it and it seemed as though Kate could care less becasue she said "why would I go to the funeral?" Also, since we don't know how far in to the future it was, does anyone else think that the person kate said would be wondering where she was was her son?

The only portion you can see of the newspaper clipping includes "Jo" as the start.. only main character I could think of would be John Locke... and considering Locke had no family or really any friends, that would add up with the empty funeral. Also, judging from Kate's response, it was weird that jack would go to the funeral, and Locke and Jack have becoming opposing forces as of episode 1, season 4.

I like to use process of elimination for this one. I don't think it's Locke, because he wouldn't leave the island. Same with Ben. It's not Sawyer because Kate would actually care about him. I thought last season that it was Michael, because no one would like him because of what he had done. But now it seems like the Oceanic Six struck up a deal similar to Michael's themselves to get off the island. So who knows?
Until we find out more though, I'm sticking with Michael. I think Sawyer is the one wondering where she is.
Yes, it's still the burning question, who's in the casket? I was wondering the same, especially after Hurley revealed in the flashforward that he was just one of six. I think that it might be either Juliet or Ben in the casket. It's too difficult to speculate, but, Jack is kindred with both of them and it only seems logical.
