What happened to the original version of Iron Chef?!
Question: The original stopped airing regularly in Japan back in 1999. They had specials up til 2002 I believe. Ratings were still awesome but production costs were too great to keep it going
Look on stage6.com and you can see about 100 episodes of the original on there. I'm watching one right now actually!

It is no longer aired in the United States. Maybe one day soon they will release the original on DVD Collectors Edition.
IT was cancelled last year.
But he's on another show.
