Deitrich was good but the his character got stale fast. I always liked Hal Linden. A very underatted comedy and quirky for it's time.

I think his character was named Soo
He looked like he was on tranquilizers all the time.
Detective Ron Harris, played by Ron Glass. He was a snappy dresser. And the actor went on to play Shepherd Book on Firefly and Serenity.
WooJoo was my fav but I liked Dietrich too

They were all great. Together, I think they actually exceeded the sum of their parts. In other words, they were better as a cast than any one character individually. If you had to single one out, though, I guess I have to pick Fish. He was the only one who got his own spin-off.
The Asian cop was very funny...I liked them all..
Nick Yemana, I think, played by Jack Soo, who also appeared in an episode of the early M*A*S*H as a black marketeer and in the film version of Flower Drum Song.
My favorite was the werewolf episode with Nick going "Barney woo wooo" when the guy started climbing the bars and howling.
But I also liked Dietrich, Fish and Wojo. And who can forget "l'il Levitt"?
