Rex is not his son., Roxie lied to get Rex off her back. Rumor has it he is Mitch Laurence's son. Roxy and her husband helped Mitch with the Jess/Nat baby swap. Roxie clearly did not know who Charlie was when she met him at her salon the other day, she asked to be introduced and asked questions about his last name. At the end today she went and was going to ask him to go along with it.

Perhaps the rumor about Mitch Lawrence is to side-track people so that there will be a surprise. I can imagine that Charlie and Roxy had a one-night stand when they were both drunk, given their histories, and Roxy remembers but Charlie doesn't. So Roxy pretended she had just met him.
It's possible he has two sons, but one of them is NOT Rex. Rex's Dad is Mitch Lawrence.
