She was acting older than her age - that's why they kept telling her to be an actress. There was nothing real or true about her performance. She had a lovely natural voice, but it was buried under affectation and ornamentation. If she'd just sung without the vocal gymnastics, she might have gotten through. It was a poor song choice for so young a girl.
She also got too many words wrong for my taste.
