Match Game was one of the best game shows of all time. All that talent in one room was amazing. Sad that we lost two of my favorite people from that show this year :Charles Nelson Reilly and Brett Somers =(

    The "pretty nipples" goof was absolutely hilarious. The scrubs they have hosting game shows now (Howie Mandel? Al from Home Improvement????) don't hold a candle to Gene.

    I only recall Rayburn hosting Match Game, kind of a no-brainer - not exactly like Jeopardy - but fun.

    He definitely was. I'm too young to have watched them when they first aired, but I love watching the old Match Games from the 70s on the GSN (Game Show Network). The banter between Rayburn and the panel was the best part of the show--especially with Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly.
    Absolutely! The out-takes from Match Game are classic! CNR drunk & sleeping is great! 'Mrs. Oscar Madison' (Brett Somers) & Richard Dawson were bombed alot also. Rayburn had great chemistry with everyone who appeared on the game show.
