Question: I heard it on a Sex and the City episode, where Carrie dances with her gay friend at a party. It's a 80s hippie song, sang by a boys-band,and the chorus is " u-uu-u .. don't (...) now " or smth like that. The melody is very slow. The rythm is like a ballad. It's an old song for sure. PLEASE PLEASE please help! :(

I don't remember that episode of Sex And The City, but the song you are describing reminds me of Simply Red's "If You Don't Know Me By Now" from the mid 80's. It's slow and ballady, and his voice is kind of high and deep at the same time.
