What do people in America think about the TV series "Life on Mars"?!

Question: I think it is interesting, intelligent and unique

Answers: I think it is interesting, intelligent and unique

Never heard of it, haha :P

I've never heard of it either.

I'm from the UK and find it boring,...to be honest!

It's a rip-off of Starsky and Hutch,...and know where as good!

Haven't seen it yet, but I know plenty of people who rave about how great it is, and I like both John Simm and Philip Glenister, so I'm looking forward to seeing it. I have a region-free DVD player and plan to order the DVDs eventually (it would be nice if they released a R1 version, but I don't trust them not to cut anything). I hear there's talk of making an American version, but I'm sure it will suck. Supposedly they want to focus on the romantic element and tone down the Gene character.

I'm from the uk and I think it's brilliant. Can't wait for the sequel Ashes to Ashes. My sister lives in the USA and doesn't get it, shame !

I love it and keep my TiVo programmed to record it. (Florida, USA)

I liked a lot and John Simms was great-- I have read that David E Kelly bought the usa rights to the show but I am not sure how it would work-Life on Mars was so based on the Brit cop shows like The Sweeny in the 70's-not sure how it would translate to USA cop shows during that time period.

--BTW I am in the usa but I belong to a group that watches Brit tv ( lots of Dr who and british comedy)-- some is downloaded but most comes from a guy in the Uk that trades with a guy here- we have ep 2 of Torchwood tonight :)
