I hope they're not going back to hand-held cams - it's like the movie Cloverfield - everyone gets seasick. I've read that networks are doing this because the cost is cheaper. At this rate, they'll "cost" us back to the time of puppet shows in cardboard kiosks.
I haven't noticed the change, so I guess I don't mind it! It's not as annoying as it was on OLTL when it looked like they were trying to copy NYPD Blue!
Get used to it. It's cheaper to film that way.
