Why is it a Project Runway repeat tonight?!

It really doesn't haven't anything to do with the Writers strike.
The entire Project Series was taped back in July . All that is left is the Finale.
Which is why the show this week is a repeat. Fashion Week starts this week at Bryant Park . The 3 Finalist arrived in New York earlier this week and are getting their collections ready for the Runway Finale Show and taping on February 8th.
Bravo decided not to run a regular episode because all the producers and staff along with the Designers are taping the Finale and Reunion Episodes right now. And they would all miss the show.
Of course it will be kept top secret until it airs in a couple of weeks but that's what's going on. It still sucks for us though !!!
Tatyana, it's super-annoying, isn't it? My guess, given the way the networks are spacing out their shows (like "Chuck," and "Reaper," for example), making us think they ran out of episodes, and then voila! suddenly there're new episodes, that Bravo is doing the same thing: hanging onto episodes, stretching them out, in case the writers' strike drags on and on and on and isn't settled for many months. As much as I dislike the practice, it *does* give me something to look forward to: if all the channels showed us all the new episodes they have now, one after another (the way we've grown used to) and the strike *does* drag on for months, there'll come a time very rapidly when there won't be anything new to watch (save for the season finale of "The Shield" in April; yay!).
As much as it grates being strung along this way, this might be for the best.
And look at it this way: if the strike were to end tomorrow (yah, I know, but we can dream!), suddenly, the floodgates would open, and all the episodes that have been held back would suddenly appear, week after week, like clockwork, and we could go back to being happy TV watchers again!
