Tales of the Gold Monkey...?!
Question: The series ran in 1983-1984. I found someone who claimed to have the whole series on his computer, and was willing to burn it to a DVD for me, but after I told him that yes I wanted it, I haven't heard from him since. Wanted to introduce my son to this series as it was a fond memory from when I was his age... Can anyone help me with it. Would like to give it as a birthday present for his birthday in May, so I have some time, and I am willing to pay a reasonable fee for time, materials, and shipping costs.

It hasn't been officially announced, but there are very strong rumors out there that Universal will be releasing the complete series in the spring, most likely to coincide with the release of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" in May, so you may be able to get a pristine official copy instead of an expensive, fuzzy bootleg version for your son's birthday.

Wow. That takes me back. I remember watching that show and loving it. I'd completely forgotten it existed.
I checked www.tvshowsondvd.com and they don't have any info on it, which is a bummer. There's an Amazon page at http://www.amazon.com/Tales-Gold-Monkey-... to sign up to be notified of a DVD release, so maybe the studio is considering it.
