GH: Michael...The Future Johnny Zacchara?!
Question: Michael is starting to show some signs of becoming a mobster...but I would too if I had to deal with parents like Carly and Sonny...especially Sonny who is so hung up on Kate Howard that he's not guiding his son in the right direction...Carly is basically doing on all the work in the parenting area...

Michael needs a good spanking and then possible reform school or boot camp. You are right Sonny isn' parenting any of his children. He leaves that up to Alexis and Carly. Truthfully though, I don't see Carly doing much parenting either. Why wasn't she with Michael and Morgan when they were collecting money for school? Where was she when Michael kept sneaking into Sonny's office, or when he bought a gun? She is too busy with other things to be effectively dealing with Michael's issues and unfortunately that is going to cost her. Someone (Morgan or Jax perhaps) will get shot with the gun Michael bought when she was busy meddling in other peoples lives. Then she will try to act like a parent but it may be to late. Don't get me wrong, I like Carly but she needs to pay more attention to what is going on with Michael and worry less about Jason's and/or Sonny's issues. (Although I kind of wish Carly would tell everyone Jake is Jason's.)
Johnny has a soft side when he is with lulu. Michael is just a little brat that needs a spanking. Yes they both love (loved) their mothers but Johnny never tried to go after anyone. I really like Johnny, can ya tell. I do think that Carly is doing some parenting when she is not trying to run Jason's life. Basically Michael goes to school and comes home to go upstairs to the nanny. Carly might see him for five minutes a day. I am really tired of this story line with Michael and I wish Jason would bust him hard core.
no one can blame Michael for turning this way look at who he has to look up to Carly is doing most of the parenting but its still not enough she should stop worrying about Jason's life and worry about what her son is doing and sonny is oblivious to everything right now hopefully Jason can get a hold on him

Actually, I'd say Jax is the only one doing any work in parenting the kid. Carly's idea of being a good mom is telling him mobsters are heroes like soldiers and firemen, and then pawning him off on the nanny. There's no way that kid's not going to be screwed up, with the environment he was raised in. He's gone mini-mobster in the past -- he tried to order a hit on Lorenzo Alcazar when Carly was married to him, and he smothered his biological father with a pillow.
i agree with u. carly tries her best and she does ask jason for help when micheal is rebelling but sonny is doing that much parenting to any of his kids lately. carly isnt a bad mom esp given the environment. i jus wish sonny or jason would sit micheal down and explain why they dont want him in the business. maybe he needs to sit down and talk to j.z cuz this isnt the life j.z wants its the life that was chosen for him.
I agree that Jax and Jason are doing more parenting than Carly or Sonny. Hopefully whatever happens w. the gun Michael has will be a wake-up call to all that what they're doing (and not doing) isn't working!!! Maybe then Carly and Sonny will be able to get Michael on the right path... I just don't see him as a mobster!
Sonny isn't going to be on the show forever, so we got to have a Corinthos running the MOB scene. I guess since Michael's the oldest it's going to be him. However one of his little stunts of acting out may eventually get him killed causing a huge war....it's possible....Everybody knows if you really want to get to Sonny mess with his family....
Micheal is just a brat but not crazy like Johnny.
Carly isn't paying any better attention to her kids thatn Sonny is. She is too busy trying to steal Jake from Liz! If she were paying attention none of this would happen. Michael bought a gun for goodness sake! Sonny is always gone away and left them with Carly and she normally does take good care but she is too obsessed with other peoples business right now to watch her own kids. Michael needs a spanking like yesterday!
I like Johnny.He has a soft side. Micheal I feel bad for saying this but I cannot stand that kid. :(

Reading all the answers here is supremely funny!! Anyone would think it was real life. I guess any of us could write a better script than the writers they have at the moment. I don't really know why we are hooked on this GH, but I guess it mirrors real life IF - you have all the money you need all the time, and IF you could get away with all the stuff these characters do all the time. THIS FOLKS IS......"ENTERTAINMENT"
Way to go Fran. People seem to treat this stuff like it is real life. It is fiction, people, and the character can only do what the writers tell them to. And they need to have Carly pay more attention to her kids and have her keep her nose out of everybody else's business.
