What was this tv show? Second species of humans evolved, became dominant species!
Question: Okay, this was a tv show and probably on Fox or the Sci-Fi channel or something. Years ago.
The human species splits into two. The new species of humans is stronger and therefore its mission is to dominate and destroy the unevolved humans.
I don't recall the details besides that, but the good guys (the old humans) are aided by a member of the new species, who for some reason isn't evil.

You might be thinking of the show "Prey". It originally aired in 1998 on ABC but it only lasted one season (13 episodes). I saw a few episodes of it last year on the Sci Fi network. I remember that Debra Messing - from "Will & Grace" - starred in it.
