If you're Filipino and you saw that certain episode of American Idol Season !

Question: How'd you feel when and if you saw that episode with Renaldo Lapuz, the Filipino guy who auditioned in Dallas, Texas..?

It was the second episode of the 7th season and the guy sang "I am you brother,...."

They made it such a farce and they made so much fun of it...

I just have to say I felt bad and sorry for him because they were making fun of him... I just think it was so embarrassing...

Well, that's just how I feel,.. I also thought it was kinda funny...

But if you saw this also, how did you feel? What did you think?

I felt a little embarrassed for him, but it wasn't so bad I suppose. I just didn't enjoy the fact that they didn't take him seriously. His voice (and you guys gotta admit) is pretty good, so I think they should have given him a little more of a chance. I'm not being biased, but if he were to sing a different (probably more serious song) it would have sounded great. Are you Filipino as well? :)

i am a filipino but i've seen different episode they embarrassed a lot of people who auditioned whom they don't like and think they don't have the talent that they are looking for to be a hollywood star. sorry about that.

i`m a 16yrs fil-am, & ahah although his performance was embarrassing (his singing is fine, but his outfit was o.o, and he's too old to be on the show), i'm glad to associate myself with him, being filipino. :] even though his style & stuff weren't the best representation of filipinos, he was grateful & happy. he was genuinely appreciative of the chance he got to perform to the world. he was almost in tears due to his gratefulness. and his optimism&apprecation really makes me proud that he does represent filipinos. despite the embarrassing outfit.

I am not Pinoy but I did live there for 6 years and married a filipina. I really enjoyed Mr. Lapuz. He has a great spirit and not embarrased to show it. The courage he has in himself is pinoy and something that all filipinos should be proud of.
