Pauline Collins played Queen Victoria in Dr. Who in 2006.
She now lives in Hampstead with husband John Alderton. The couple have three children, Nicholas, Kate and Richard.
Pauline also has an older daughter Louise. She gave her up for adoption when she was penniless and single at the age of 23. The pair were reunited 22 years later. Pauline's book, Letter To Louise, wrote about these events.

Paulines husband John Alderton During the 1980s and 1990s, he was little seen, though he did provide the narration for the children's animated series 'Little Miss' in 1983 (with Pauline Collins) and Fireman Sam. He also appeared alongside Pauline Collins in the successful series Forever Green. He made something of a comeback in the 2003 film, Calendar Girls. In 2004, he played a role in the BBC series of Anthony Trollope's He Knew He Was Right.
