GH fans, why does Michael want a gun?!

Question: Is he aiming for someone in particular? I just saw the part where he was trying to get a gun from his father's office, but didn't catch why. I saw today where he bought one. Carly should worry about her son not Jason's!

I really hate the direction of this storyline, I do not like the idea of having this kid with a weapon. How in the world were he and his little brother out and about unsupervised when they were collecting that money anyway? I thought they had all this security...

He thinks that he needs to protect Carly from the text message killer. Besides the fact that he thinks that he's a little mobster. LOL!

Michael told Jason that he needed to protect his family from the text message killer.

He also told him that when someone hurts someone Sonny cares about, Sonny usually "takes him out". He asked Jason why they don't kill the text message killer!!

Gotta love those "little" mobsters!!!!

His story he gave Jason yesterday in yesterday's episode is that he wants to protect his mother and his brother. Michael shouldn't have bought that gun. That kid is asking for trouble. Carly and sonny should be worrying about what Michael is going to do with that gun. He wants to go after the person who killer Leticia and who killed em. And the person who almost st angled his mother. Michael is asking for big time trouble with purchasing that gun - illegally . I wonder what Carly and sonny are going to do when they find out that Michael bought a gun off the street.

It's part of his new "grown up" storyline. He wants to be a mobster like his father and Jason - so he bought a gun to protect his mother. Has anyone heard any spoilers about who he is going to end up shooting? I hope it's not Morgan.

He bought one today? I didn't see it today!!! Michael is trying to be so grown up in thinking IF he gets a gun he can protect his Mom and Morgan---just like his Dad and Jason...He will end up hurt or he will shoot someone...

i didn't get to see it today but for the past couple weeks he has been trying to be like his father. who knows what kind of trouble he'll get into.

He wants to protect his mom and brother. Soap magazine said his actions are going to have tragic consewuences for another person.

oh my gsh! i hope it;s not morgan,,,,,

Michael wants revenge on the killer. He feels it's his duty to protect Carly and Morgan. Michael thinks killing people is the right way to deal with them because that's how Sonny and Jason do it. I loved the scene between Michael and Jason when Jason told him "holding a gun doesn't make you a man." I think Michael is a very troubled child. He may well be the future mob boss of Port Charles. You're right, Carly needs to focus more on Michael than Jake.

i think the whole storyline with michael is just stupid!!! why is this kid never in school. and where are the guards that are always with him??? they should write him off or send him away!! he is so annoying!!

Because Michael thinks he is some kinda mafia man at what?!?! 10 years old!!! He thinks Sonny isn't doing enough about this text message killer thing so he's taking matters into his own hands. Yes Carly should be worrying more about her own sons then Jason's but don't you worry she will be soon. Morgan accidently gets shot with that gun Michael just bought.... Not sure if Michael shoots him or if he finds it and is playing with it but Carly needs to be more on top of things with these boys.

I just had to laugh when he way buying that gun. There was this little runt of a kid dealing with these older guys who looked like hoodlums. And here's little michael looking like a wuss, all dressed nice and everything. It is just so stupid the way this show is going on so many levels.

He wants to be a mini-Sonny.....he's out to protect his Mom and Morgan, but he also has alternative thoughts about it. He desires to become like his father and do his fathers' business, so he's starting out learning how to use violence to get what he wants. (he's been doing things at school that way)

Hes trying to protect Carly and His younger bro. he said that no one has done nething to get the guy. and he knows hes still out there. and if the text mess. killer comes back he can do something bout it

Because he thinks that having a gun will keep his family safe -- nevermind that that's worked out oh-so-well for his father and uncle, those times when he got a bomb in the mail or he and his siblings were kidnapped or his mother was shot in the head while giving birth. He's been taught that guns solve problems. This could be a really fascinating storyline in which Carly, Sonny and Jason finally wake the hell up and realize that their choices have irrevocably warped their children; unfortunately, given this show's refusal to paint those three as anything short of the sainted trio, I have no faith in the showrunners to keep exploring the consequences in an honest manner once the regular writers are back from the strike.
