What's the deal with this writers strike?!

Question: The first I heard about it was for some award show where none of the actors showed up. Why was that?
and more importantly, is that why there are no new episodes of the Office!!? What the heck!

The awards show where none of the actors showed was the Golden Globes... the actors didn't show because they wouldn't cross the writers picket line...

The actors agree with and support the writers, as the actors will have to deal with the studios like the writers are now, when their contract ends with the studios in June.

And yes, this is why there are no new episodes of "The Office"

If the studios would wake up and pay the writers for helping them make all this money, then the strike would end and we could go back to enjoying the antics of the people at Dunder-Mifflin

This is there website you can find out all the info as to why they are striking and why they havent given up. They really arent asking for much. And clearly with out them there is no shows.

I agree nic, I'm in serious "The Office" withdrawal ;) Can't wait for the new season, whenever the strike gets resolved.

i'm not sure about the writers strike. they said last week on E! news that they might have some kindo of deal, but idk. You can watch episodes of "the office" on tbs though
