Debbie died,as she was ill so Nigel brought her up by himself.

The actor who played Nigel has now been in Holby City for a few years as a Surgeon....While the actress who played a young Claire in East Enders had some time out to do exam's and work in her dad's family business,..before going back to acting in her role on Hollyoaks.
She replaced another actress(who appeared on a modelling show on CH4)but left,..so Gemma was her replacement!
So yeah she has played characters called Claire in EastEnders-twice,...&Once in Hollyoaks!
