i would have taken the ￡7000 its better to leave with something than to risk leaving with nothing. i would have refused to see what was in the box though lol

As it stands, I would have refused the ￡7,000 offer and taken the box - it has the best chance of the highest amount statistically.

No deal. I think it all depends on whether ￡7,000 is going to change your life for a few weeks or a few months. It wouldn't even pay my credit card bill so definitely no deal.

I watch this every day and personally think he was either foolish or didn't need the money (in which case why go on the programme!). Given my financial situation I would never have risked losing seven grand for a 1p so I would have dealt.

It was a mean offer so my guess is he thought he would be offered more as sometimes he does do that.
It was a 50/50 chance to win either amount so go for it and become the 13th member of the 1p club
