yea, i only saw the end of it tho.

Yeah I saw that, he is very talented! I hope he gets to show what he can do at Cambridge! He is very inspirational, seeing as i complain at every little ache and pain!

I think it would have been made regardless of where he lived or what school he goes to. It shows courage and a great talent at such a young age. I think he's a great example, for people with or without such an illness.

Ralph (the head of music guy) is such a good conductor. The windsor and eton choral society do a carol concert every year, its really fun, I've gone for 17 years

But would the programme still have been made if he was in a high school and living in a council estate but still suffering from same condition and still a talented musician?

Alex Stobbs is my godfather's grandson and is absolutely first class lad. The whole family and friends are extremely proud of him and I have every admiration for what he has achieved especially with the problems that he has to deal with.

Nick A - I'll treat your remarks with the contempt that they deserve.

Yes, I watched it and really enjoyed it.

Alex came across as such a likeable lad with an incredible talent, who overcame all of his health problems through a combination of pure determination and wit and an wonderful ability to enjoy every single second of the life that he had. I found him inspirational and just know we haven't heard the last of him.

To Nick above, this was a beautiful documentary about a young man with a dreadful illness and an incredible talent. It had absolutely nothing to do with 'class', it's only people like you that keep harping on about the so called 'have's' and 'have nots'. Life is what you make of it (as Alex illustrated beautifully) not about how much you can get from someone else :) Rant over now xx

Wow!!! I was spell bound!I would be so utterly and immensely proud to know someone like Alex....he's just so humble and so much fun and commands everyone's respect on so many levels! Witnessing his crowning glory , conducting the Magnificat made my heart almost burst! It's people like Alex who deserve to be knighted ( sorry to all the chef/ football / minor celebs fans!)

Yeah, it was a great program. I had a bad feeling that at the end it would say he had died, but happily it said he had got a music scholarship at the Royal College of Music (I think).
The way he went about everything despite being so ill was a real lesson. I will remember that next time I feel like I can't be bothered going to a class or to the gym. "Can't be bothered" didn't even enter his mind.
