Him and his old mates Blur thought the provincial boys Oasis were - er...rather lacking in social standing, loving the media's 'Intellectual Blur meets chip-eating Oasis' winding up throught the nineties, but tonight, Mr. James sounded more like a shy 15 year old, uttering the usual things a teenager would do in order to get people to laugh, or feel shocked. Realise people outside the M25 and Grauniad readers will want to put a noose around my neck - but tonights programme is proof that not all university shiners/broadsheet dears ex-pop stars can pull it off.
