Thank You , I was thinking the same thing ! The very 1st time Rami has to step out side his comfort zone and can't drape something ( it's impossible to drape denim ) he copies one of Jeffry's winning ideas.
I felt that it was a little distasteful myself. I didn't think he should of been praised for it like it was an original idea. I think they should of commented on Jeffery coming up with the idea and then critiqued Rami's dress.
As they have often done in the past when designers outfits resembled Austin Scarlet's Emmy Design from Season 1. They always give Austin credit for the original fabrication.

Yeah, I see what you're saying but the difference is that this project was specifically denim. Jeffrey's design was not a material based project. I didn't really like Rami's dress, it was okay, but I guess there isn't much you can do with old jeans. I really liked Chris' design. I thought there was much more to it...not so simple.
Yes I have been unimpressed with Rami this season. For starts he already has had his designs on the red carpet worn by Jessica Alba and such. Also seems to me like he sends the same thing down the runway each week. And when it is something different as you have pointed out, it just looks like something someone else has already done. When are we going to see something new from him?
OMG! i thought i was the only one. as soon as Tim walked up to it and noticed the zippers i automatically thought of Jeffrey. i think he did kinda get inspired by that outfit. but jeffrey's was way better than what Romi did
I agree it was a complete ripoff of Jefferey's Finale outfit. And I am surprised that the Judges didn't bring it up.
