I really like this programme and have watched it from the start of the last series. However, the contrived dramas are beginning to get predictable. These expeditions are dangerous enough for inexperienced people without the constant problem of carrying people, sometimes literally, who should never have been selected in the first place. It's a constant 'we are 6 hrs behind time and our chances of reaching camp before nightfall are slim' etc. It happens every time. And yet you know that they will finally reach their destination otherwise the programme would not have been screened!
A really good programme is being ruined by these cynical manoeuvres. Look at tonight's epidode, poor Nichola had to faint 3 times, after having to continue with a torn thigh muscle, before a halt was called. We are now left with the cliff hanger that it will be difficulst to get her off the mountain because a helicopter can't land it. What's the betting that she will be winched to safety? I am very disappointed with Ben Fogle, who I like a lot, but he should tell the production team that he, as the expert, has right of selection.

There is always something going on behind the scenes we do not hear about and Joanna is one of the bravest on the team and I just hope Ben gets her to the end of the journey. It is a shame for the others having to wait for her but they could learn to be more tolerant of people not as fit as they are. Joanna has now become the focal point of the exercise and I would think everyone is rooting for her.
I've been watching this "reality" programme, but quite frankly it's beginning to get a bit TEDIOUS!......Perhaps Ben Fogle has something to do with it?.....

Sort of, on and off. i think she should've gone, the others need to learn to work as a team and that means putting up with and helping other ppl through the challenge. I think her reasons for going were a lot better than that woman who didn't even touch the animal in the dark room!

I think the others complaining about her should be ashamed, she is trying so hard to live a normal life and overcoming her illness, well done her is what i say, at least shes not sat at home feeling sorry for herself and would the others in the team have achieved what she has, i doubt it very much.
Yeah i'm watching it....i remember him off some reality show.....he's doing a great job with his own show, a really likable lad.....as for taking that lady....i was surprised he picked up....i dont think 'extreme' events are for people who arnt physically 'extremely' fit and yes while i admire her courage and determination i personally wouldnt havent taken her.
I really felt ben fogle dropped seriously in my estimations yesterday. To allow someone to continue climbing when they have fainted to a position where they cannot be safely rescued is to put her life in danger and all the others who want to help. None of the other team had mountain l;eading experiance. As the doctor said in the programme "Dont worry its not your fault if you were in the uk and you fainted 3 times you would be in hospital" Not trying to go higher up a diffcult climb for unfit and ill prepared people. He would be told to get off the mountain. He has now real experiance leading a load of people on a trek. Just because he can do it himself does not make him qualified to take 8 others of mixed aility on the same trek. the guy is an idiot
