I won't allow it. As a parent, I'm responsible for the things my children watch and I believe that though I watch, I'm an adult. It isn't appropriate for children, in my opinion. I'm 21, and when I watch, sometimes I see things that have my jaw drop wide open. Other times I laugh, but it is all very adult humor, and I want my children to stay children for as long as possible. They deserve a real childhood when the time comes for me to become a mother.

I don't need the television, in very crass ways, telling them about things that I should be educating them about.

ive been watching southpark since i was 7, never effected me.

Neither is fit for viewing by anyone...at any age.

i don't watch them and I'm 36. they are mostly crap and not funny. i don't want to waste my time watching an hour for one mildly amusing line. i wouldn't want my 14 year old ( or under) watching them.

well I'm 15 and i watched the south park movie when i was like... 10 and it never affected me.

i am polite and well mannered.
tehe when I'm around my 'rents
no seriously family guy and south park is so funny. and if its OK for your kids to be watching Simpson's, then there is no problem them watching family guy, futurama

well.... if i had kids i wouldn't let them watch south park. family guy and all that's OK. but i draw the line on south park :(

good point

xx

not only does my dad allow my younger siblings to watch such programming and beyond, he even watches it

I let my twelve year old daughter watch whatever she likes on TV, no doubt she feels pleased about it.

And I'm pleased to say she is not such a big sooky woos like I am, I get upset even watching Lassie, she can watch things like Saw (yuck) and not run screaming from the room.

With tv's nowadays, you can block any program that you do not want your family to watch.
If you do not want them watching it or don't think it's an appropriate, block it.
I'm 24 and have watched those shows since they first aired.

how about you watch the show and determine for yourself if it is appropriate or not. people blame music and television for the way their children act when it's almost always the parent's fault.

And people who have never seen the shows should not have an opinion as to whether it is appropriate or not. Shame on them and their ignorant ways.

Personally I have been watching the simpsons, family guy, futurama and south park forever. But like its suppose to ite meant for an older audience. So most of everything went over my head sooo much. It wasnt till later that i even got half the stuff they were talking about. It prolly wont do anything to them.

Send 'em outside to play baseball to win. Ride a bicycle. TV makes a real mush bucket of the 14 year old brain. How about piano/guitar lessons. Read a book in the park. Bad suggestions? There's always HDTV with a vast array top notch "entertainment". Quality shows like "Simple Life" or American Idol are so much better than Family Guy or South Park.

family guy is leik 14. but south park is 17 and up, i watch it and love it and my mom pretty much hates that. she probably would rather have me watching family guy, but i hate it. anyways i know im not a parent but i know how my mom feels...

in australia south park is rated M and family guy is M as well, which basically means its for mature audiences. They don't give ages unless its MA15+ which is obviously 15 and over and R18+, is 18 and over. Some south park episodes are rated MA but not many. I'm not a parent so it depends on what age you consider to be 'mature audiences'.
