How much do T.V. stations pay for the shows they run?!
Question: I have seen re runs of shows that were not made by that station. Like king of the hill, king of queens ect. ect. My questions is how much do the stations pay for the right to run that show? I know the questions is stupid and hard to understand but i just was wondering.

Those specific shows are what people in the television industry call a “filler.” Once a show has no more use on a station, another station needing “filler time” will purchase the show for X amount of dollars (depending on the show) to fill in time slots that would otherwise be a black screen. Once a station pays for a show they hold the rights to it indefinitely.
