Does anyone think Chris Fountain should not be on Dancing On Ice?!

Question: I just feel that his ablitites are alot better than anyone else on the show coz he's a skater and that gives him an unfair advantage. I dont feel its a level playing fielld with him on.

So glad someone has voiced what I have been thinking and said at the beginning! Yes I do think it is totally unfair as he has entered the contest with being confident on the ice - he certainly hasn't had to start from the beginning as the others have albeit that he did ice hockey not dance. A distinct unfair advantage.

I agree wholeheartedly!

I dont agree, he only plays ice hockey and not at professional level. David Seaman and John Barrowman also played ice hockey and look at Bonnie langford she was a trained dancer and spent most of her time being chucked about.

just because he is a bit better doesn't make the dancing and the lift and moves any easier for him everyone is entitled to have a go

No way theres others that can skate just as good as him, just because he can skate he still has to learn the moves just like the rest of them.

ok i'm biased i think hes great and hope he wins.

Go Chris!

Yeah I know what you're saying...ice skating IS very different to his kind of skating though - it'll be tough for him to get used to the different blades, but he DOES have an advantage because he knows how to skate - none of the others had a clue.

Yes but he works and does the show.

Is it fair that people who aren't working can spend more time practising?

skating in hockey skates are completely different to skating in ice skates.

in hockey skates you skate like you do in roller blades, they are much bigger and the blades are totally different, and they dont have picks on the front.

i think he has a slight advantage, but also i slight disadvantage because he has to re-learn how to skate on different blades.

Greg is also trained in Ice Hockey but he is all over the place the grace of a hippo ha ha.
You are right it is an unfair advantage and feel sorry for the others however they do not always win as we tend to vote for ones who make mass improvement.
Good question though

To start with I thought that but as comments say above other players have ice hockeyed.

But also don't you think its unfair when someone who was in a pop group with dance routines or went to stage school goes on Strictly Come Dancing.

He is not a skater- he is a ice hockey player. When playing in Ice Hockey where is it that you have to dance and lift your team mates into the air????? He deserves to be there.

he still makes misakes. he is a celeb who wants do. Anyway Jyne orvill has already said that "Ice hockey and figure skating are two completly different worlds". David Seaman is season 1 was an icehockey player and was a mess at skating

Sorry i don't agree.
