Simon is awesome. There is nothing wrong with telling it like it is.
I think he's just honest, which I find to be a nice thing in the end.

Simon is the only sane person ON that show. Paula needs a strait jacket, and Randy needs Paula to share her meds.

It's hard enough to hear "no" let alone some of the cruel things he tells them (whether they deserve it or not!)

Severayone is nice 1. reasons: 1. hes british. 2. hes paid to be nasty...would you like the show if ever 3. its his personality!
cause he's good at it! Being British has nothing to do with it. Criticism sounds better when some one with a foreign accent berates you for some reason.
Why would Simon or anybody else on this show, feel compelled to be any differerent from the world these competititors will face eventually. LIfe is brutally honest and in LOTS of caseS, nobody has really told them that they have no real talent and rely on others to deal that crushing blow. So I guess Simon is it. Better to tell folks right up front than to let them labor on for years believing they have a marketable talent when they DON'T.

how would you feel if it's the 7th year that your hosting a "talent" show and there are people that come on that are so obviously horrendous. He doesn't give anyone a false hope, he tells the truth and he gets annoyed when these horribly untalented people show up in a cows costume. I mean come on, nobody that has ever won has shown up at the audition wearing a fairy costume.
