Yes, it starting getting old after the first season. It should be getting close to retirement at this point.

eh.. that's a hard one. I mean, it's just as totally addicting as it was from the first season, but it's like watching the same thing over and over only with different people each season. IDK. I guess it is, but that doesn't change the fact that it's so freakin awesome!!! Simon keeps it going! They should probably get some new ideas for the show to twist it up a little tho... lol.
yes, my family had a discussion about it the other day. We do see the same old sterotypes getting chosen to compete. I agree with Glitter Girl who had a decent voice but she look too odd for their ego. I agree with Princess Lea contestant who stated that they look for the blondes, skinny or perfect looking contestant. All of them seem to resemble previous winners. We agree that American Idol does have some actors in there. We thought of why do a small percentage get to go back home and do a small bio of themselves. I will watch it again but it′s getting boring all of these reality shows.

I only watched the first season and was happy that Kelly won.
I only like the begining when the people are horrible and Simon is mean, and then you get the random awesome person who blows you away. And then I like the ending of the show when it gets down to the wire. The whole part in between I never watch though.

I think they have too many episodes of the preliminary auditions. You can only watch the same crappy type of performers so many times. It gets boring after a while. Once they get to the Hollywood episodes, it gets a bit more exciting, although I can't remember who even won last year, because she was so boring. Kelly Clarkson was about the only unique person who has won. Carrie Underwood is a great singer and is beautiful, but it seems like singers like her are a dime a dozen. Geez, maybe I am bored with the whole thing!
It is, but since the writer's strike is going on we only have that and Lost to watch. i am the opposite of alot of people though. I think the auditions part of it is more boring than the actual competition. the auditions are the same every year. It's almost like they recycle the footage. There is the crazy people and the decent/mediocre people that make it to Hollyweird. To me, the compettion part of it is more interesting.
