On extreme makeover: home edition.. dont the designers..?!
Question: dont the designers ever consider the fact that children grow up, and they grow out of their rooms?
my point is, a LOTTT of times, they give children rooms themed to the EXTREME, like..
PRINCESS! with a castle bed! and a kingdom mural on the wall!
or OOH baseball! with baseball beanbag chairs and a bed made out of bats.
doesnt ANYONE think of the fact that they will grow up soon enough and start to hate their room, but it would suck a lotttt to paint over that insanely detailed artwork on the walls?
i am confuzzled!

I thought about that before,like a young may have a pink room with (what's nice at the time) pink walls and an extra space leading onto somewhere else,but I think that as times goes on and they grow up and may even want to invite friends round the room might not seem so great,although there are some ideas I agree with,like once they built a basketball stadium for a young man who enjoyed the sport,so I think that's useful.
haha, I thought about that too.
I guess the children could give it to another child, just pass it on and get new furniture or something.
Its about the now.. it is what the family needs now...
I worked on a house recently in Manchester NH... the show has not aired yet but they have the most AMAZING rooms.. one has a snowboarding mural on the wall and the other is a baseball room...
They even have a zip-line in the yard....
Its awesome that they do it for the families...
Rooms can be painted and changed... they will forever appreciate all the hard work that goes into the houses.
