How old were you when you first started watching soaps?!
Question: i remember watching passions and the young and the restless when i was like 4 because thats what my grandma would watch.then i started watching again at 11 about 2 months before i turned 12.
now i am 13 and i have a lot of friends who share my common interest and we always talk about them at lunch and other students think we are weird.

I have been watching it probably since i have been born, because thats what was on round me. young and the restless and bold and the beautiful. I started watching them nonstop (as far as watching every day) about a year and a half ago. I am 13.

I have never watched a whole episode of a soap in my life.
I watched half of an episode of Neighbours once, and that was the most I have ever seen.
I would say....about 8 years old General Hospital was out. A long time ago and I still love watching soaps....Y& R, AMC are my favorites! One good thing about soaps is you can watch it tomorrow and go back in 3 weeks and still know what is going on.
the only soap i ever saw was one where there was this guy who kidnapped a woman and another guy who had a gun who was totally unrelated to the plot.

i dont really like soaps, but my most fav is Guiding Light. n im in middle school
I remember watching soaps with my grandmother when I was around 5 (General Hospital), I have watch them on and off throughout my life. Currently I am a fan of General Hospital, some things you can't stop.
i started watching soaps when i was in grade school (maybe 7 or 8 years old) and my first soap operas were Passions, Days, and As The World Turns...
i'm 19 now and none of my friends except for one watch soap operas, so we talk about them nonstop and i don't understand why people think we are weird as well.
my favourite soaps now are AMC and GH...though i'm more of a GH fanatic :).

Since I was born! I started remembering what I watched since I was about 3 or 4 though! I have always watched AMC<OLTL<GH. My mom used to watch Y&R and still does and I watch it ocassionaly.I am 30 now and always will love my shows!
i started as a baby, when my aunts were watching their y&r and gl. i have continued watching off and on ever since.
5 years old... My mother let me watch Luke and Laura's wedding on GH with her and I've been hooked ever since.

I'm sure I use to watch it with my mom when I was younger but I don't think I started to "follow" along closely until I was in middle school.
I started watching OLTL and GH when I was 11. I'm now 20 and I never miss an episode. If I can't watch during the day then I watch at night on SoapNet.

Wow I was young. I remember coming home from school and watching Days of our lives with my mom. I was about 7 or 8. I started watching passions when I was 12. I don't want it anymore now.
I started watching Passions when I was about three. And then I was hooked on B&B.
I can remember watching something with my grandmother when I was 3 or 4 years old (maybe As The World Turns, can't remember), but I started watching ABC soaps in 1968, shortly before my 12th birthday, and have kept up with GH and OLTL storylines ever since.........that's more years than I really wanna think about.........*laugh*.........
I must be the oldest person answering your question--but here goes. I was about 12 when I had mono and stayed home from school for a couple of weeks. I started watching Days of Our Lives then and watched it every summer after that. In college I scheduled classes so that I could see it at least 3 times a week. After college when VCRs came out I taped it every day. Now I am back to watching about 3 times a week. I've been a Days watcher for.......are you ready...... 35 years. (But just so you know--I'm a very YOUNG 47 year old!)
I started when I was about 6 years old. That was in 1963...yes I'm much older than you! I watched with my mom. GH and The Doctors. A couple of years later Days and Another World started, so we watched them too. I watched mostly when I was home sick, or in the summer. Now I only watch Y&R and ATWT, since some of those shows are now gone!
I always talk about the shows with my sister and a couple of friends who watch the same as me.
i was around 5 years old.. i remember watching days of our l ives with my older sisters... whats sad is that i am 32 years old n ow.. and can still remember episodes from those many years ago.. i can even recite for you the families geneaology.. for so many shows like amc/dool/bb/yr and even dynasty.. even today, im still hooked on them, even though the stories nowadays seem so whacked out.. i mean.. how many times will a person need to die before they are really dead??????
I have been watching soaps since i was about 5 or 6 with my grandma started with price is right... Then all of the soaps on channel 2, Y & R, ATWT, B & B, has been on for over 20 years i remember when that show started. Last but not least guiding light. My favorite changes with who has the best story going at the time. Right now Y&R has my attention with Victor being accused of murder. But yes ATWT is got a twist with Dusty being killed... Why?
im 14 and i have been watching soaps my whole life. i started getting really into dool and oltl when i was 13 so just like one year ago. your lucky you have friends that watch em my friends hate when i ramble on about them lol

I was about 18 when I started watching a new soap from the UK with my Gran. That new soap was Coronation Street and I`m still watching it today, 43 years later.

I was 13 when I started watching Guiding Light with my grandmother. My dad had just died and I think it was a nice place for me to escape to.
