Is it just me or does anyone else think the networks should as their viewers wha!
Question: after all...its us that watch the shows & keep the networks going & keep the shows on air....i'm soooo tired of this crap & about to give up watching network t.v. all together. Plus.....it's like the baseball players wanting more money...get over it....i'll write shows for what the writers are already getting paid & will write just as good if not better & don't care about the other fringes that are being taken away from me

Fans DO matter, and if it weren't for the fans watching the show or using the products that sponser their shows, they wouldn't have a show or their jobs!
How can these people complain about not being paid enough with the whopping salaries they already make?
Has it even occured to these "high and mighty" writers that it takes more than just the writers to make a show.
The writers seem to think the whole show depends on just them!!!!!
Well have they ever heard of, actors, directors, producers, sound people, lighting people, editors, stage hands, etc, etc, ????
Writers alone do not a show make!
These writers need to sit down, pick up their pens/pencils, or get on their computers and start writing already!!!

I Absolutely AGREE....They need to think of the fans more! I've started watching other shows because of all the reruns AND have become very attached to them! MAYBE i wont even go back to the shows that I thought" I couldn't live without" Its not our fault that technology has gotten so good that their shows are being burned and downloaded for free!!!WELL I GUESS MAYBE IT COULD BE SOME OF OUR FAULT >>>lol,,,,,,but come on>><< GIVE us back our shows!!!!!

No. It's between them - not the average Joe. I'm sure they're better writers. You're not even writing a sentence.
thats what i say.and if the writers are not happy with the way they get payed,they should just fire them and hire even better ones that will work and not complain about the pay.there are so many of my favorite shows of air because of those money hungry writers.
sorry but that's jus dumb. the writers deserve what they are asking for. they are not asking for much jus 2.5% of the profits made from online viewership and dvd sales.2.5% of millions of dollars is not alot. there is nothing wrong with what they are asking for. the networks are being greedy. they are losing so much more money now than they would if they just paid the writers. actors are making a whole lot more than writers who as u can see are the foundation of most shows so its understandable for the writers would want a fair cut of the profits. btw if u or anyone else started writing for shows u would be in violation of union laws anyway.
i agree that the writers strike sucks but the hating should be focused on the greedy networks and studios not the writers. jus imagine if u were working in a job not getting what u deserve, would u or the union representing u jus sit there and take it. teachers, transport workers, airline/airport workers etc etc etc...strike all the time for what they think they deserve. this is their job and they have lives and families too. its not fair to say jus fire them and hire new ppl. thank god some of u arent in charge and thank god for unions.

Advertisers Pay the networks to show their commericals and that is how tv makes their money.
TV is like any other Bu$$iness they are out to make the Most $$$ they can and be #1 in their business. They don't care about the 'fans' except that you watch them so THEY can make more $$$.
Do you Really think some middle aged man in a suit in a fancy office in Hollywood Cares about YOU? No he cares about HIS bonus! His Salary/ HIs job/His $$$$$$$$
The networks want to keep the $$$ for themselves.
When a tv show is put online for download at the network's site or at Itunes the Writer(s) of that show get ZERO while the producters/ networks get $$$$$$$$$ from the Ads they put on those sites.
