The end for American Idol?!
Question: I think American Idol has become boring. And most likely it is nearing its end.
There's nothing new to this show. The crap of Simon Cowell criticizing almost all of the contestants. Paula Abdula and Randy Jackson ganging up on Simon. Ryan Seacrest becoming the victim of Simon's tirades. And the show highlighting the oddities and stupidities of weak Idol singing wannabees.
Judges having or giving out favorites from the start of the audition. They should stop conditioning the viewers mind.
I think FOX should just stop and reformat this show. Singers should be judged based on their talents, not on the number of votes from some viewers who are obviously doing things to rig the results. Why not just give a certain percentage of the votes to viewers and some votes from professional artists that they could invite? That way a much needed balance will prevail.
This show has become irritating and predictable from the start.

i could not agree with you more. It has kinda been over for awhile. Its not fun any more its not original anymore. All these fools who show up and know the stupider they act the better chance they will get on. OR tell us your sad story about how bad you wanna be a star because you have a sick kid and wanna make something of your life blah blah blah
The show should have ended before it started.
I always hated that show. It is a joke. It will be viewed in the future as one of the worst programs ever aired. And the ex-viewers will be too ashamed to admit they watched it(except old women from the south).

Sorry you feel this way. My life has been changed for the better because of this show.
I guess my opinion of it differs from yours because I experienced a lot of what the viewers did not see.
I agree for the most part. I watched it up until last season, it started getting boring in my opinion. I agree it's too repetitive :( and it seems they try to do the same things every season without changing much and that's just not going to cut it much longer...
