you need an equity card, this you can only get once you have a job -or know the right people (eg are famous) see like chicken and egg? now you know why you mainly seem the same old stars grabbing all the roles....
try going to acting school- many of these happen on a saturday or after school, some are evn inplace of school like the brit school in croyden of sylvia young, there are more outside of london aswell, but prehaps ask these schools for direction: which other schools in your area are reputable as you cannot get to such and such a school. Once you go to one of these schools you have more of a chance of getting a job as an actress as these scholls have links and opportunities other places dont have.
Goodluck, it can take several years and decades to get employed and find a decent agent that works well with you (the key to it all is a good agent btw) but hard work can pay off for about 5-10%of the actors around.
But if its your hearts desire, you wont care, even if it does feel like your going nowhere, if you really want it, this wont put you off. Goodluck!

There is a drama school called stage coach. Its quite expensive but gets good results or go to your local theatre to see if they are looking for anyone.
There are always advertisements in the newspapers.
Look on the internet for movie auditions in the uk.

There is a newspaper called The Stage. It is mostly available in London, but if you ask over the counter at WHSnith's they will either have one or order it in for you. I think it comes out on thursday's.
Although most audition's will be in London, so your parents will need to agree.
Also look in your local paper, it will usually be a small role for something in your area, but you got to start somewhere.
