Why did Gene Simmons commit suicide on "Celebrity Apprentice"?!

He believed he was right , he said so, and and that was that.

To be honest, I thought Trump came off an idiot for firing Gene after letting him pick Omarosa and Jennie to go to the boardroom.

Normally you are asked why you did this but not Gene. Trump told Gene why he did what he did and then sumarilly fired Simmons without so much as a by your leave.

Sure, Simmons could have brought in two other women but think of who he brought, Jennie who has not proven she can lead in a contest to prove you are a leader and Omarosa who should have been fired week one when she was team leader and failed pittiflully to capitalize on the star power at her disposal. I am pretty certain that is where Simmons was going with this, the fact that one girl is inept and the other is a contentious backstabber. He was trying to help the team and Trump was listening to a couple of idiots talk about how it made Trump look. It made him look like he was trying to tell Simmons who to fire. That means the show is rigged. He should have kept Simmons and kissed Jennie good bye.

And by the way, it was stupid on Gene's part not to use his contacts again to sell the printers. Baldwin gave them 1000 dollars for 2 machines. Simmons should have sold the machines out. He could have. that was his big mistake. He showed the other team how to beat him.

I do think he should have shown up for that meeting just to make the executives know that he was on the job. Then again if he had it might have told the women that he had no idea what he was doing. It was good to keep Omarosa out of that meeting because she would have started a case for her defense which would have slowed down the team. They did a good job. Simmons was right. Kodak was too concerned with the message to see that his presentation was better, his execution was better, and aside from sales his performance was strong.

To be honest, he was the only true leader in the competition. Now they are all just wannabees.
Thank you. He lost half when he got rid of the PMOY in week one. The is down to 25% taking out sex, drugs, and rock and roll. All he has now is fringe interests. Thanks again. Report It

    I think Celebrity Apprentice is in the same time-slot as Gene Simmons Family Jewels. It would have been a conflict of interest :)

    I think he was just so caught up in himself and his abilities that he thought Trump would be equally as impressed. I don't think it was "suicide" but stupidity.
    well, it was his brain storm that decided that he didn't have to go nor did all them need to go to the execs of kodak and what's her face, nelly wouldn't shut her pie hole long enough to get anything out of what the client really wanted. That task was doomed from the get go! If the women keep going like they are the guys are going to smoke them again... sometimes you can't get a bunch of women working together too much drama..but, that one brit was being a bit dramatic about the loss pics on the laptop.. boo hoo. they pulled it off crappy presentation absolutely but they pulled it together and got the overall job done right and better than It's a Kodak World concept did...so, we'll just have to wait and see sorry your guy got canned but, he had it coming... take care.

    He had already won money for his charity. He thought the execs were wrong. He was with a bunch of women losers. His ego took a wee bit of a beating. He is worth zillions, so he probably just got fed up and thought why put up with this another week. I personally think he wanted to get axed so he did not have to do this another week.
    I agree. I loved Gene, he was a crack up but Trump was basically telling him to bring Nely in and she would have been fired. He's just too stubborn, I guess. You could tell that Trump didn't want to fire him.

    I've had the displeasure of meeting Gene Simmons and I can tell you he really is an arrogant a$$h@le who thinks hes god. That being said he is a great business man. I think he did miss the mark on the Kodak advertising campaign. Lets face it,you buy a printer for $99 and the ink replacement cartridge is $20-$25 so the concept of a cheaper ink cartridge is appealing.His presentation of his idea was flawless but it wasnt what Kodak wanted. I think he would have won the whole competition but he stood by his convictions and therefor took the bullet when his team lost. That's why he didn't have Nelly,who the execs hated, go back into the boardroom when it was time for some one to be fired.
    I couldn't believe it either. For a smart businessman that sure was a dumb move. I think he just got a little too cocky with himself and it backfired on him. I actually thought that he had a pretty good chance of wiinning the thing in the beginning. But I'm like you - without him I'm not going to care if I watch it or not. The ones that are left seem a bit ditsy to me.
    He is an arrogant bore, he was demeaning towards the women, I am glad he's gone.
