Celebrity apprentice - What did you think about Gene Simmons?!

Question: how he followed his gut instinct and went against the Kodak execs decision.

I personally thought Gene was wrong to focus on the entire brand, but Kodak sort of had a crappy product to start. Selling cheaper Ink isn't going to make me go out and buy a stupid printer. What about the printer I have now? Do I buy a printer just for cheaper ink?

I loved how Gene was so passionate about his slogan and vision. It's too bad the execs thought differently.

I think that Gene Simmons is so caught up in Gene Simmons that he can't see anything else. There's no way someone else could have a good idea, because he did not come up with it. He comes off as an arrogant and stubborn person, so sure in himself and his ability that there is no way he could make a mistake.

I'm not downplaying his intelligence or business sense. He seems to really have it together, but I think he gets too caught up in the fact that he is a good businessman and he is smart so he can't let go. I don't know that he was trying to get fired, because if he is off the show he loses that chance for publicity and fan adoration.

Kodak has bigger issues than the cost of ink (ie the poor reputation of the printers). I know that seeing a slogan about cheaper ink isn't going to push me to buying a Kodak printer. Now tell me that my photos are going to be the best ever coming off this equipment and I'm there.

I liked Empresario's whole presentation and theme better. I think Gene's idea to rebrand Kodak was better than focusing on cheap ink. However, it doesn't matter what you or I think - only what the execs thought and they liked the sloppy, disorganized presentation of Hydra better.

I think he purposely wanted to get fired. Why else would he not have brought Nelly back into the boardroom? He won money for his charity last week. He is an intelligent man. And after losing, he probably decided to just quit. I really liked his concept regardless what the Kodak execs thought BUT Gene was told about the ink even though he did not attend the meeting.

I have not missed one episode ever of the Apprentice. I tape them all in case I cannot watch it the night it comes on. I think Donald is great and I think Gene Simmons is a brilliant business man.

I didn't even know it was on....dang I messed it....Gene is one of my favorites.....I love his passion for making money...and for not just going along with what people say or do.....he should make this tired played out show...interesting...if he doesn't get booted off first.....he probably wouldn't even care...if he did....because he would have been right ..and everybody else would be wrong.....that's our Gene...

I've had the displeasure of meeting Gene Simmons and I can tell you he really is an arrogant a$$h@le who thinks hes god. That being said he is a great business man. I think he did miss the mark on the Kodak advertising campaign. Lets face it,you buy a printer for $99 and the ink replacement cartridge is $20-$25 so the concept of a cheaper ink cartridge is appealing. He's presentation of his idea was flawless. I think he would have won the whole competition but he stood by his convictions and therefor took the bullet when his team lost. That's why he didn't have that other lady who the execs hated go back into the boardroom when it was time for some one to be fired.

It had a lot to do with pride I'm guessing. Unlike the other seasons of The Apprentice, Gene Simmons is not in this to get a job out of it. Sure he's raising money for charity, but it's not like he can't donate on his own. He's a very intelligent guy and he has a lot of pride. In this case, hubris. I'm not sure what he was trying to get out of it, but it really seemed like he wanted to get axed. Instead of defending himself, he just smiled a weird sort of smile.
Who knows...?

I seriously think he was trying to get kicked off last night, you saw how trump was telling him who to bring back and he just wouldn't do it. Its like trump said he always tries to do the opposite of what everyone says, and its worked pretty good for him but in instances like this, he needs to listen to other people especially the client my goodness, he basically said the client didn't know what they wanted yeah right.

I'm not watching anymore

Donald .... You're fired

P.S. I'm not buying any Kodak product anymore, period.
