Y&R-Why is is Y&R taking so long to finish the story lines?!

a question asked by many. its always been this way. Y&R is the worst with dragging their sl. i have stopped watching for 6 months come back and they still on the same sl. idk y that is but i wish the would run thru some of their sl quicker. time to find out who killed jim yin or what ever his name was. time for victoria to wake up. time for devon to get over lily, time for lily and cane to be a couple already. even tho i like gloria time for every1 to kno all the stuff she has done. and time to move on to smtng new already
I think that Y&R is taking so long to finsih the story lines because of thier head writer. She sucks to say the least. It is her who determines how long something is going to last for. Hopefully she either pulls her head out of her butt and starts writing better story lines that resolve much quicker or hopefully the show fires her and replaces her with a better head writer.
All the soaps do that thats why we still watch it right.
That is what makes people come back for more....
I think they concentrate on one storyline for awhile (writing wise) then they concentrate on another one. They also sometimes decide to go more with a particular storyline because of viewer feedback on whats interesting so they concentrate on that one. I also think that they decide to go another way with stuff so they have to flat-line it for awhile hoping we will just go with it. Don't forget they often change things to accommodate the actors who need time off for other stuff (Like pilot season, maternity leave, illness etc....)
They are one of the soaps that I watch because the storylines are built up and its worth the wait, while they do not make us wait as long as other soaps!!
