Do the three American Idol judges actually audition everyone in line or are a lo!

Question: I can't imagine Simon, Paula, and Randy have time to audition all those people in line. Do they have some assistants that weed out a lot of them before they get to the main audition room?

I happen to know someone who tried out for American Idol last season. She went to the audition and didn't see any of the 3 main judges at all.
She went in a room and sang like 5 seconds or so for producers of the show.
If a person was good enough they where asked to come back later/next day to try out for the judges. Otherwise the where sent home.

So, no I do not think they get to listen to everyone, but instead other people like producers do the main checks. They then seem to pic some of the best/worst of them to go out in front of the judges.

I don't know, I was wondering that too, I don't know how they can actually audition all of the contestants?

I'm pretty sure there's these auditions to audition for the audition with them.

No, they have scouts around the Country.

The three judges you see on Stage are seeing the contestants for the first time just as you are.

no, someone else auditions before them
and they get out all of the hilarious acts
the really good ones
and some okay ones

Not all the people in line get to go into the audition room.

They have small interviews with people working on the show before they get a number. I saw it on one episode last season, they were in this huge gymnasium where the auditions were being held in that building, and they had these curtain room things and people went in, got interviewed, and then either got a number or got sent home.

In one episode it showed that some were weeded out before hand, i think that they just pick good and really bad to preform for entertainment purposes.

My friend's daughter auditioned for American Idol but she was judged by different people and not the ones that you see on the TV. After they thinned them out then they went to another audition where they met with the judges for the first time.

Simon, Paula, & Randy dont actually judge all of the people in line. They have other judging rooms that they go into and the producers (whoever is judging them) see if theyre good enough, have the right personality, sing really bad, etc. Then if they pass that one, I think they go through another one, then they put them up to Paula, Simon, and Randy.

nope, they audition in front of some other judges 1st and then they put them thru
