What kept rebecca budig away from AMC for so long?!
Question: She was only gone for two years, but after failed pilots, a cheesy made for tv movie, and a 2 episode guest stint on CSI, that was enough for Rebecca to throw in the towel and crawl back to All My Children. Even though it means living ACROSS THE COUNTRY from her husband! Shows her desperation to get work. Which is another reason why it's puzzling how ABC has advertised her as special and worth watching. Nobody off of soaps found her to be special or worth watching. But really she gave up pretty fast on an L.A. career, she must have realized it just wasn't going to happen for her!

Her attempts at a primetime career. She failed again this pilot season, so decided to come back to AMC. Producers were amenable 'cause fans never took to NuGreenlee.
She got married and did other tv projects. She did many pilots that didn't go no where and a lifetime movie, guest roles and I believe stuff for ABC family.

The almighty dollar. She tried her hand out in Hollywood and failed. I would guess that ABC tried to woo her back before but the contract offer was to low. Now since she didn't make it in L.A., she came back. Probably to a lower offer.
She wanted to try her hand in the big leagues, but failed miserably, though she did make a marvelous corpse on CSI. TPTB on All My Children thought they could bring the ratings up by bringing her back, but I think they made a big mistake. They need to get better story lines, things that are more relevant and not as crappy as they have been throwing at us these last few years. It really isn't only the actors and actresses that make the show, they have to have the proper material. Maybe a good story line for Greenlee would be Leo coming back from the dead and they ride off into the sunset together never to be seen again.
