American Idol Contestant?!

Question: Did anyone absolutely feel horrible for the guy on American Idol who sang "Let my people go" so badly? Before he sang, he mentioned that he thought he had a good chance of winning because his co-workers pushed him to do the try-outs at American Idol. Obviously they where leading him on and making fun of him, and when everyone started laughing when he started singing, well, it broke my heart, I felt bad for the guy. You could see it in his eyes, he was both hurt and embarrassed as he was walking out. Obviously he was not 100% normal, or it would have been funny, something wasn't right with him, and I just got a bad feeling while watching it.

Am I the only one who felt that way?

I'm glad you wrote that, because I felt exactly the same way. You can tell the ones who are on there just joking around and hoping to get on the audition show of American Idol. That guy last night was obviously a little slow, and he looked truly hurt when Paula and Randy were laughing so hard at him. And yes, I also picked up the fact that he said his co-workers suggested he try out. What scumbags they are. I hope they watched the show and saw the hurt in that guys eyes, although they probably don't have a conscience. Couldn't Paula and Randy see that guy was a slow person? Why did they treat him so callously. I actually thought Simon was pretty decent last night. American Idol should never have put that part on last. It still makes me sad to think about it.

no you are not. i felt that way too. i feel bad for alot of the people on there ecspcailly if they have something wrond with them. but i also do think that some people try out for fun. i dont think he was one of them. i think his co workers were mean for putting him up to it

I felt terrible for that guy! Clearly he was "special" and that really upsets me when they make fun of people with disabilities. Randy and Paula were so rude to laugh at him, but I was impressed that Simon handled it pretty well. No laughing or rude comments for him.

I felt bad for him too. I tried hard not to laugh. His Co workers probably just wanted to see If he was really going to do it. They knew that man couldn't sing. I don't know why they pushed him up tpo do it.

I feel the same way!
Its devastating to these people.
American Idol producers and writers exploit people just to make good TV.

yes i laughed so hard
let my ppl go lol

I live in Indonesia and tomorrow will be the premier here.
I can't wait to see American Idol coz it's my favorite show! :)

I always feel bad if that really happened. I think his co-workers are so mean :(

I thought it was really sad because he thought he did a really good job and they were all laughing at him! You can tell who doesnt care and who does on that show and this guy really put his heart into it! What a bunch of jerks!

I did feel bad for him and Tempest Brown too. I wanted her to be good. It was heartbreaking.

It makes you wonder what people will do for a laugh, doesn't it? Sad, really...

I felt the same way. Randy and Paula sat there laughing and that poor dude looked like he wanted to cry. Randy and Paula should know by now that, even if it was hilarious to watch and listen to, people have feelings.
