Piper discovers it when she recognises a (old) woman. She doesnt recognise the woman at first, but then realises she had met her a few days previous (when she was young) when she sees the tattoo of an angel on her withered old hand.
I'm not even sure which season its from, but its one of the newer ones because Rose McGowan is in it.

i think this ifrom the begining w/ prue and not paige. i just searched for it. go to www.tnt.tv/charmed and you can ject the seasons and episode guide yourself b/c i couldn't find it but i didn't check the prue seasons since you were so sure that it was paige.
